The virtual power plant (VPP) is a developing concept in the modern engineering field. This paper presents local search optimization (LSO) algorithm-based for energy management distribution network. proposed LSO algorithm used optimal selection and location of distributed resources (DER), regulation load, usage storage systems VPP. DERs are renewable sources (RES) that consist solar PV wind source. face challenge losses, voltage variations, revenue losses utilization These problems solved by VPP reducing acquiring from sector. An LSO-based modeled MATLB PSCAD verified using IEEE-9 bus system. results show 81% purchased utility grid was reduced placement DER 86% acquired load control
